Kiwanis Club of Lake Tahoe is joining with other Kiwanis Clubs, area service clubs and individuals to begin fundraising for our fall 2010 Coats for Kids Service Project.  Last fall we were able to give 500 coats to students in 7 south shore schools (6 elementary and 1 middle school on both sides of the state line). These students are identified by teachers as fall approaches as needing a coat for winter.  This is a project that not only requires significant funds be raised; $10,000 is our goal this year, but also asks for manpower to sort and distribute the coats.   We have already had a committment from Tahoe Rotary for $1000, thanks for that fantastic start!  Please email Mike Rojas, Committee Chairman at mike@ledesigns.info if you have questions or can donate time.   Donations may be made to Kiwanis Club of Lake Tahoe (write Coats for Kids in memo line) and mailed to Kiwanis Club of Lake Tahoe, PO Box 13364, So.
